NYFW 2013: Alon Linvé Review♡

My Favorite Pieces From

Alon Linvé

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014

So I must admit I'm a new fan of Alon Linvé even though he's been around the block a few times. He is a young designer from Israel who entered the scene at, get this, ONLY 17 !! Crazy right ? He worked for many different fashion houses but if you want to know more of his story you can go look at his website. I'm not gonna give his whole life story lets just focus on this lovely collection !

When I seen this collection it totally was love at first sight! Just look at the picture above, totally gorgeous! Now the wearability of this alone is obvi out of the question. But i totally made a sheer skirt that I could wear it with.. you know if I ever got that daring lol. I love the allusions he is creating with his lines. He's giving you skin but in a subtle and not to overbearing way. Now this dress to your left... lets just have a moment of silence for the fabulousness! I think this is one so elegant with to sexy slits that appear when you will. This dress is a conversation piece. Can you tell I'm totally wishing I was there ?

The show's opener was a piece that really foreshadowed the entire show. we got elements that embodied many aspects of this collection. He incorporated the gold, which you don't see too much of until later in the show. The structured sleeve and the black skirt thats cut a little high to be worn out but, once again, its for the daring if you do. Speaking for myself. I'd rock it with the platforms and the braids.

My second favorite piece of the collection, which happens to be one of the most wearable looks in this show, is a BEAUTIFUL shade of blue that has that sort of watercolor look that many of the pieces have. There is just nothing wrong with this piece. I love the lines and how he broke up the waist from the top and the well defined bell sleeves which I though was very 70's inspired. If the 70's are coming back I want to come back in it, in this dress. To die for !
This look I love because while all the other looks are very prissy and classy this gives me a tomboy type look. The sour apple of the bunch. Now I don't mean sour in a bad way, I mean it in an unexpected type of way. I think this is a very carefree look for this upcoming spring that I can see being worn at a pool side party. Very airy and put together but you don't have to try as hard. Wearability ? I think a definite yes, another piece I'm adding to the imaginary closet.

*hands raised to the heavens* My favorite piece of this collection ladies and gentleman ! Look. At. This. Dress. You can not tell me this isn't gorgeous. Even if you did, you're a lair. I'm literally fan girling over this dress. I go to sleep dreaming of this dress only to wake up and this about it all day until I fall asleep again. Its a never ending cycle of love. This dress had a lot of similar features as the previous blue dress but its just to much more! Take a second look at the sleeve, done ? Do you see the craftsmanship of this? Its so beautifully designed and the ombre colors on the sleeves, the color blocking on the chest, the slimming allusion of the waist band, the slimming of the shoulder pads. I'm in a fashion over load!

*Disclaimer* All of the images you see here I got off of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week gallery page if you would like to see please click the link. All of these are my opinions on Alon Livné's collection and were honest reflections of how I feel.
